New Purchases mostly modern

1927 Czech Ducat mintage=25,774
The rest are described on the slabs. Don't know anything about them, just an impulse buy because I liked the look of them.
Also got a 1929 SA Sovereign UNC. I'll post pics when I get time.

That Ducat is pretty cool. It has a nice old look about it.

Love the design of the ducat... then again I've always like medieval motifs.

Yep, I love the ducat as well. Medieval design on a 1927 piece is pretty cool. I expect most 1920s pieces to be art nouveau or art deco so it's neat to see.

I think I saw the patterns and trial strikes on the bay. If these are the same ones, congrats on winning them.

Thanks guys. I too was drawn to the medieval design on a 1927. As for the other coins I have since found out that they were minted in Barcelona by Hijos de Isidré Cistaré.

US coin collectors/Darkside coin collectors buying Darkside coins I wouldn't/couldn't afford- I am stripped of my Darkside uniqueness...

Let them buy and post and buy and post again; they are the future of this forum I feel.

I have seen initial Darkside buyers come and go but the latest generation seems to buy Darkside and Lightside with equal enthusiasm: I like it!image
