How about a NEWP thread this weekend...

StorkStork Posts: 5,206 ✭✭✭✭✭
I strongly suggest we all have a margarita or two as well. I won these two this weekend after having them on my radar for the last two years (and multiple lost auctions) and now they are mine image.

These are stolen from the winning auctions as I probably won't have them in hand for a week or so, depending on the international mail.

A double score weekend (and there goes my March budget...and it's only the third).

edited to add: The Chaplain medal is 67 mm and in it's original box, and the Delannoy is 50 mm, silver plated bronze.

Sorry, no newps but I did want to say how much I like Stork's medals (which are always of the highest artistic quality, not to mention subject matter... image ).

OK, here's sort of a newp for me. In fact, I've had it for many years, but it recently came back from the slab factory and I hadn't seen it in a long time, so it's a newp again for me. NGC graded it MS64 but it's actually proof-like and cameo in appearance, probably due to a very careful strike on new dies; truly a special coin. My deep appreciation is extended to our resident rodent, Mac, for his professional photography.

Hmmm, I don't recognize that oddly shaped and composed planchet. How strange.

    Cool pictures all!
