Coins from Palestine--why "higher" prices

Hello,
I looked through more coins for a friend that she got from her father when he died. I looked up some of the foreign coins. In the World Catalog a lot of the Palestinian coins had list prices of $11 etc.
Is there a collector base for these coins?
She has about ten and is interested in selling them. I know US coins but am looking for free advice on what to do with foreign coins.
The majority of the foreign I told her has little to no value. She put the silver coins I found in little bags with country and amount of silver written on the bags. The rest went back into a two tin boxes.
Thanks

Some call it an accumulation not a collection

There are quite a few Palestinian coins that can be pricey, even in mid-grades.
If most of the stuff is circulated and from the 20th century, you may be right that it is not a treasure chest. But they still do have value and there are people who will buy them.
If you like, please do list and describe as well as possible the coins here, include pics for better results. We can help you ID and price them. Then, if she really wants to sell them, you can list them or post a link to your ebay sales in our Weekend Swap thread.
Just like the average (non-collector) person thinks every wheatie, buffalo and merc must be worth big bucks, world coins are not always terribly valuable. But unlike what a lot of US dealers seem to believe, people will buy those interesting foreign coins
Plus it sounds like you're already on the right track if you have a copy of Krause's Standard Catalog of World coins.
