Here's another early January outing... This one really cracked me up and I think my
wife helped me with the suggestion of this post's title... hahaha
I found an area with an old tree and next to it I found a 1917 dime. Looking up at
this huge tree, I began thinking how what we see today is not what the previous
visitor saw close to 100 years ago... For example, a branch that would've been
perfect back then to throw clothes over or pants is now much higher today. With
that thought in mind, you'll understand why I started laughing when I found the
other items that showed up during this hunt...
1 1917 Mercury dime
1 plain button with no back-mark info.
1 buckle
1 pistol ball
2 bullets
and here's the love connection...
2 "Merry Widow's" containers

I remember the first time I dug one o' those, in an old schoolyard. Gold foil colored. 'Bout soiled meself at first- thought I'd dug a $10 gold piece.
