just pick up this coins 1944-S Fifty Centavos with some others need to know why does the coin say United States of America on the Reverse I like the coin thats why i bought it just asking and Thank You in advance

The Philippines were an American protectorate in the early 40's Administered by the US. The coinage was minted by the US also.
