What is interesting about this medal is the fact that I have seen one of the other two versions sell for $1600 and $3600 , and they are listed as common. This one was on ebay with only 3 bidders and sold for next to nothing, $10. Right place and right time I guessimage

Nasir-Al-Din Shah (Anglicized spellings differ, of course) is an interesting figure to those of us who're members of the Baha'i Faith. As a villain; one of the first and worst persecutors of the Bahai's in Iran. He would fit well into a "rogue's gallery" collection if I were ever to start one. For that reason, I love that piece there and would purchase it or a similar one if the opportunity arose and the price weren't too high. My parents (who raised us kids in the Baha'i Faith) would find that quite fascinating. I gave my mother a gold tuman (toman) of the period.
