It is a huge mini-coin at 13mm.

Very cool!!!
here is a coin and medal from Russia commemorating thier space program and Yuri Gargaran. The medal is made from a spacecraft retrieved from orbit.

Neat one shep, I have a couple witness medals from the space program and an Aluminum piece that my sister got me for Apollo 11 that was only give to Nasa workers at the launch.
