WAY KOOL. Looks very similar to the 1879 "Shield-earring" Morgan pattern dollar. Somebody here recall the Judd/Pollock numbers?

Probably worth a Franklin or two?

Neat Hobo Morgan, but I wouldn't imagine anyone valuing it anywhere close to the opening bid.

I think the seller knows that too -- so the "best offer" option is there

    That's cool!!

I hope he gets what he's asking
    for it.

It's not like he's really hurting the
    Morgan population.

I wonder what he uses to recolor
    the coin.

reading the description he suggests making an offer - what do you think he will take?

and do you think I could get it in an NCS slab as tooled?
  • Billzach does very nice work and is up front that it is his carving--a nice pattern takeoff-- I like it--but it's too rich for my blood but might be worth it to someone--am curious as to where the best offer ends up.

Wish he'd carve a "Martha Washington" morgan.

I agree that it represents outstanding artistry and mastery of his medium. Looks a lot like a pattern. That was my first impression and I am sure many others'.
