Extra $$$ burning a hole in my...

...Puckett. image

With all the OT we're working, we've been "promised" some extra cash IF everything goes in on schedule. We were also allowed to sell some vacation time back to the company as a "perk". Since we can't use it anyway, I'm spending it! Here's what I found last night -- a chit-load full of oddball Canadian Puckett stuff. I bought so much that the seller kindly and generously waived the postage and handling fees! image

Cool. Can't wait to get the package. Hopefully it'll come late on a Saturday after I've gotten home from work and can hide it from the wifey...image

    Nice stuff.

Id be interested in knowing what seller it was. Most likely it is the same guy I got a TON of oddball Mattingly stuff from a few weeks back. If it is indeed the same seller you will be very, very pleased. Overall I got around 30 different Mattingly items and all were in superb condition.

    bri,

I was drawn to the seller's store by the 1987 Kraft proof panel. When I saw everything else MIP, I went nuts! Let's see, the seller was...

Phibanjo from Ontario, CN, I believe it was.

Is that who you scored your gems from?

Phibanjo's feedback score speaks for itself! I'm anxious to do more business there...

    Brian,

As I purchase some items from canadacollect, I'm getting the feeling that the two sellers may be connected, if not one-and-the-same. Both are located in St. Thomas, ON, CN. I noticed an image or two that were unusual and identical. Not that that's a problem! I'm finding a few more things I want/need, so I'm happy!
  • YES... they are the same!!
i think he decided to split things up due to the volume.

Absolutely positively a terrific person to deal with.

    Also....

St. Thomas is basically a suburb of London ON, which we all know was the home of O Pee Chee, so i think he had the inside track on alot of the product.

Fascinating history there, jomer. Thanks for the info!

The seller has been around the hobby forever. He has alot of oddball stuff. He used to run a store as well which im not sure he does anymore because of ebay. I likely will be seeing him later today at the Toronto Sport Card Expo

    Ditto !

When I checked the link you sent me hoof, I was amazed how similar the two were. Now I know why !

The oddball stuff I picked up from them was top notch quality all the way.

The email I got from canadacollect said they would be gone until Sunday due to a card show -- that must be the one!

Bri, I think the pricing was a little cheaper on canadacollect (cc), but not quite the selection. The s/h on my cc order was a bargain, too. I'll be keeping an eye on those stores.

    Thanks!

That Guy is who I bought this from raw of course

Cool, Jason! I didn't realize how small that '87 Hostess was. I'm anxious to see all the Canadian items for the first time. With the large Kirby collection you've got (10,000+ cards?!), I can only imagine what it's like having as much as you do...awesome!
  • It's amazing what you can find when you do some searching of the archives. I was looking for '87 Kraft and found this oldie.

It takes me back 5 years to a pretty stressful (due to work) time in my life.

    Ah the good ol' days...
