Edit: OK, x turned into a coin. I voted 65 based on what I can see but there could be things I can't see reducing it a bit. If it were on ebay I'd bid like it was a 62/63 based on the photo. don't be afraid to post an 800 x 800 photo of each side. Those on dialup will soon give in and join this century.
Even with crappy pictures, the distribution curve around here comes up pretty good most of the time.
This coin is in an NGC 64 slab.
Personally, I think the correct grade is AU65. The coin has too much unmistakeable high point friction to ignore, but it is otherwise excellently free of marks -- basically nothing at all visible to the naked eye -- and has pleasant original skin over decent or slightly better-than-decent luster.
I am thrilled to have obtained this neat old coin for the price of two fillups at the gas station.
