AU53. Body bag for environmental damage, unless the PVC on the reverse can be removed.

thats a cool dime but, i,m not sure how to read the pics other than
looks cleaned and retoned, which would give you ye ole bodybag.
or if the luster just doesnt show at all it could slab i guess
au 55 is my best guess

It looks like an original AU coin to me, but one not worth getting certified.

Not full ban may go AU-55

I would gather as many opinions as possible before making your decession.

My opinion: The cost to slab the coin would be very close to the current market value of the coin. I guarantee it will get body bagged unless you remove the dirt/pvc. I would grade it AU-50 to 55

Have you shown the coin to a local dealer? What is their opinion.

Why submit? It's a slider. It would work well in a nice AU set.

It looks like a XF45 to me and it doesn't have full split bands. I wouldn't think the value of this coin would warrant getting it slabbed. I'd use acetone on it to try to get that crud off the reverse.
    Just IMHO.

no-the value of the coin even if AU is not worth the price of submission. XF45 IMHO. 1916-S dimes come nice and are not very expensive even in AU.
