A car description at least for Florida coin dealers to watch out for

Thieves made off with gold and silver coins and more than $12,000 in currency during a night home-invasion robbery in southwest Seminole County.

Someone knocked on the door of a Cecelia Drive home about 9 p.m. and yelled "Jack looking for John," the victims told Seminole County deputy sheriffs. Seconds later a door leading from a garage into the home was kicked open and three men entered.

A man and woman inside the house were ordered to the floor and one of the robbers removed keys and about $250 from the man's pocket. The keys were then used to open a safe from which the robbers took about $12,000 in currency, coins and a firearm.

The woman's arms and feet were tied and a blanket was placed over her head, deputies said. The robbers wrapped a telephone cord around the man's neck and put a rocker on top of him before they fled.

The robbers are believed to have fled in a dark-colored older model car, possibly a Toyota Celica.
