If Medusa was a coin, these two would certainly respond to a casting call

I've had these coins for years. Neither one has any real numismatic value so a submission to NCS is not in order. However, I would to be able to look at the coins without feeling ill. Any suggestions on what home remedy might work? Thanks.

Soak in olive oil, for about a year.

Olive oil is a nice try but you need to watch it and perhaps GENTLY work the surface with a Q-tip. Either type woulb be fine. Afterwards you should gently clean the residual oil from the surface with a mild detergent and water rinse.
