Ebay insertion fee sale, i think i just lost 20 bucks

I got an email from ebay about the "nothing over 50 cent insertion" promo.

i listed just after midnight forgetting that i'm in a different time zone than ebay.
the promo starts in 2 hours.
the insertion fee was 20 bucks.

am i out the 20?

aug 1st all ebay regular auctions have a 50 cent cap on insertion fee

Yup. You're out the money.

Now, you can downgrade the listing and get many of the fees refunded and then relist it with the new deal after 12 PST.

I know you can lower the start to 1 cent & kill the buy-it-now & that should generate a refund.

It's not certified by a reputable dealer.

Cancel the listing and relist it.

i'm thinking i'd be out even more money on it if i do that

to speak of coins though, this sale could bring out some nice ones.
since it's cheap to list, sellers can ask whatever they like and not be out much if it doesn't go.
