I need help with a VAM-3A

I have a 1921-P Vam-3a ( spiked tail feathers ) . Rob Joyce's wed site has a picture of one .
The site also say's that some examples have a die gouge in the LL of dollar . Which mine has .
The page that I was viewing said it was being investigated for a new vam assignment . That page was last updated on 9/23/2002 . Somebody with Vam Disease must know............

Let me know which one you have. VAM-3A2 looks to be the toughest to find.

That was quick ! It looks like mine is the vam-3a3 , it has all of those markers .
I would grade it 45-50 , but their is a lamination defect between 2nd and 3rd stars down
from E.Pluribus on the obv. I won the coin on E-Bay and it was a bad picture , but I seen the
bump from the lamination and took a chance . The Spike Tail was a pleasant surprise .
