Price Check Isle 3 Please, this was in the roll of common Morgans... Did I read the sheet right???

Did I read the GS correct???

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

<< <i>Marty, I think that you are funning with us. The obverse looks like an "S" mint obverse. Come on now, fess up!! >>
I was getting ready to do an economy order for NGC, I was looking up values. It's an O for sure!
Looking at the coin in hand, what do you estimate she grades?

<< <i>Marty: Your 1897-O Morgan Dollar sure looks mint state from the photos that you provided. That date has a huge (6x-7x) price jump from MS-60 to 63.

MS62/63
It is absolutely uncirculated, however.

Edited to change grade guess to 61 (obverse marks).
Either way, that is a very cool and valuable find. After closer review of the photos that you have posted, I am guessing that coin would grade MS-60-62. Based upon the obverse it would likely grade MS-60 or 61. However, the stronger reverse may help to carry the overall grade up to 61 or possibly 62.
Just my opinion from a photo. You've got a better look in person. Either way, you've likely got a valuable coin there!!

I would think MS-61 possibly 62 from that pic.....
Will you tell the seller of the roll?
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
<< <i>Now, the ethics question.....was this a roll from a dealer, ebay, or something else?
Will you tell the seller of the roll?
As has been discussed via PM, the dealer will share in the profit from the find.

I agree, although it looked better, grade-wise, before the dip.
Great coin that escalates in value as you climb thru the ms levels??????
<< <i>I think I prefer the pre-dipped coin. >>
