Is there a site with any info on Star Co cards?

Just wondering if there was any place online that has a lot of info on the old Star Co. cards and their history. I know about the issues with the Basketball releases, but there seems to be a zillion baseball releases as well. I just bought these blank back stickers dirt cheap. I didn't even know they existed. Granted, they may be unauthorized fakes, but if so, they're very high quality fakes.

Not sure if there's a site with info on these or not but I love these cards.

Here are some pics of my collection.

    Start with autographed singles/sets.

This is a pretty good site. They say they are writing a book about the Star cards but I have emailed and get no info. I emailed Steve Taft once when I had some questions. He was very nice and quick with a reply.

Holy Cow....did you order 2 autos of each to get the sequential numbers? That is truely amazing and I would not believe it if I saw it anywhere else on the web outside of the trusted members here. I had never even seen 90% of those autos before.

All cards were bought directly from Star Co.

I ended up on one of their mailing lists after I had contacted them about some free samples of some of their newer products and (As their story goes) they were going thru a warehouse when they discovered some leftover items that were long forgotten about. Those that were on the mailing lists got the offer to buy this stuff along with other offers that I just didn't have the money to sink into ay the time.

The autos were part of one of the deals (They called them sets) so I ordered two.

Promos were buy two sets and get a third free. The third set was short but still a good deal.

The sets if I remember were buy one lot and get the second free.

So 112 autographed cards, over 400 promo and ad cards and 128 sets for if my memory is correct a little under $300.

Book value (Who cares about book prices) has gone down on all of these but doesn't matter at all. I enjoy them and love showing them to others so I hope everyone enjoys the pics.

Nice auto's. I own three of the basketball auto's which you displayed. Problem is that Although PSA/DNA will authenticate them they cannot be graded because PSA will not touch Star issues so they cannot be entered into the HOF Autograph Registry. (Pippen,Stockton and Olajuwon will be sure fire first ballot in the next few years) PSA has to change its hardcore policy with Star in regards to the Autograph's.

Geez I've never even seen 90% of those cards before, let alone the autos...
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12
