  • Ben Franklin stood frustrated in his back yard, as his kite continuously crashed to the ground. His frustration was compounded when his wife yelled out the kitchen window: "Ben that kite will never fly. What you need is a little piece of tail." Ben replied: "That is what I said an hour ago, and you told me to go fly a kite."

The seller is wrong in that he mentions the Founding Fathers in the Chronicle set. It will be in the Legacy set. The Unc. Scientist is in the Chronicle Set.

BTW, my order is in, so I'm pretty happy about the price so far.

As for delivery, the Mint states in March they will send out the single coins, however for the Chronicle Set they have to wait for the Stamp to be made, that one will come in April.

Some clarification please; Is the mintages on these 250,000 each of the PR and UNC or is it 250,000 total ? imageimage

The seller of the auction linked above says it's the latter. Is it?

That seller is bonified crazy. Once everyone starts getting their coins from the mint they will start trickling onto e-bay and they will sell for a little over cost. At least for the first 6 months to 1 year. Then the prices will start rising and maybe not even close to levels of that auction. If he gets it I should do a pre-sale on the ones I ordered. image

It is 250,000 of each design. With 50,000 of each being held for the special sets (50,000 Founding Fathers for the Legacy set, and 50,000 Scientist for the Chronicles set) That leaves 200,000 total for each design. The exact proof/unc split to be determined by the number of each ordered.

    That clear?

That's what I thought but there's a lot of mis-information out there...so thanks for the confirmation! image

So would I be safe in saying the seller is selling something he does not have in hand but wants immediate payment? Does Ebay allow that?

I think these things will be worth more then the Marine Corps. They are going to come out of the gate high and go up. I wouldn't be suprised if they get over $100 before the party ends, if it ends.
