Mars Attacks on ebay

This is not my set, but I came across this listing.

I'm not a non sport guy but I like the set. This price seems on the high side to me.

Any thoughts?

Agree. With those kind of grades, this set should go for $1500...$2000 max.

    yep

he has been trying to sell these cards for 2 years now.

first ungraded now graded. same speal, how they deserved better grades etc.

I agree with Frank 2k tops

especially since you have really crappy scans to go by.

the 6's could be awfully OC and still get a straight grade.

had he enlarged the scans and started the bidding low he very well may have gotten 2k+ for this set that averages out at 5.75

I have a set that averages out at 5.51 on the PSA registry, I would never try to claim that the set is nrmt. He would be better off saying the set averages out at 5.75, and then seeing how it would go. This is a popular set in the non-sports world, so he might get close to $1500, but I think anything over that is too high. There is a lot of movement on this cards, they are a heavily traded commodity.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

That sounded cool for some reason!

I agree he has slim to no chance in getting $2500 for them. Scans are horrible also & there are so many 6's that look like they should be OC's.

Anybody have singles? I need to finish my set in 6's or better

Looks like he got his bid.

Big bid for a zero feedback bidder.

He may have got his bid, but that doesn't mean he will get his pay!

Well both have left feedback and of course the 'buyer' sez "cards in mint condition just like advertised" lol yeah a set with not one mint card that averages out at EX 5 is MINT.

    methinks the feedback is suspect.

    Steve,
Could be a play; you're right. The winner joined ebay a couple of days after the item was listed, and the two left feedback within 45 minutes
of each other, so either the seller was watching this like a hawk, or....?
