  • This one was sooooo easy! Tom, you have my vote for the 1954 Franklinf. 1954 was a very special year image As a matter of fact, I just purchased a 1954 US Proof set, unopened!!! I'm so thrilled to have this set, I've been trying to find it for almost 2 years. I finally won an EBay bid from a well respected, tried & true seller, about 2 weeks ago. Merry Christmas to me!

  • Wonder if it will be awhile before Zot can beat the coin he found this month!

Yes, there's a good chance for that! imageimage
Actually, it looks like it could be a while before I can beat anything at all, the ground is a bit too frozen to dig right now.. image
I need to make a weekend MD-trip to somewhere with more civilized temperatures at some point... UK maybe..? imageimage

    Woohoo! Thank you!! image
I hope I'm attaching the appropriate smileys as I must admit that Zot is not entirely sober as of this writing... image

What a close race it was!! When voting, I realized that DinoUK's full slater was not included (which would have kicked butt).. That coin was definitely the coin of the month for me!
Still, I'm very much honored by the "best coin" award and will do my best to hold the Darkside flag high next year too.. image (after the snow melts, that is) image
