A small part of today's *groan* purchases... 3 Morgan $'s

Let me know what you think. The CC was cracked out of an ms65 NGC holder - I told the seller that, IMO, it didn't stand much chance of getting back into one. In the scan of the coin, the dark spot that shows is not dark- it's a shiny contact mark that picked up the light wrong.
I'm still working on lighting - the rainbow toning on the 78-S is really stunning coin in hand.
Give me you opinions, esp. on grade, please.

AU55
MS63
I cannot make out any of the toining on the 78-s, the 84-s is a very nice AU, and the 85 has IMO no chance of getting into a 65 holder. I would leave the 85 and 78 raw and try the 84, it might go 58 but I think 55 is right.

The 1884-S looks like a cleaned AU to me- perhaps AU55.....
The 1885-CC looks like a solid 64 to me....
1878-S Appears either AU-58 or MS-62 -- the coin may have been lightly circulated
1884-S appears cleaned AU which may net grade down to XF-45/AU-50 if it certifies; TPGS are very strict on high grade 1884-S's because of their huge price jump from AU to MS
1885-CC appears MS-64 to MS-65 -- and is a very pretty light cameo effect example!!
