I like the coin even more!
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5
"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22
I'm struggling with my attempt at gold coins,
I'm thinking, in my case anyway, less lighting I get better results.
Is that what you found to be so???

RYK, I thought the exact same thing.
Edit: I should also add... my photo experience of gold comes mostly from $20 Libs

Okay, okay...you guys are trying to confuse me. Denver started up in 1906, so this D mintmark is that of Denver...correct??

What are you doing messing with gold at 1:00 in the morning? Get back to the cents!
Jeff
Yes.
I agree.
That could be a very nice 58. .... or a weak 62.
The left side obverse lighting makes it hard to look at features. On the reverse I would like to see more lighting directly on the eagles claws. On the reverse you need to light the shaft as it merges with the tip of the top arrow. The bottom arrows quill is too dark. The obverse rim tick at 8:30 is hidden.
If I was bidding on that photo----it would draw a 58 bid.

A great choice unc coin with above average eye appeal and a d mintmark to boot!
contact me when you are ready to part with it ;-)
sweet coin. I will say is it MS60.
rims look very clean.
the coin has more luster than most AU58s.
I'd say you've done a very nice job with the picture. Hell of a lot better than my attempts for sure.
The first image seems to be a bit too light and the second just a bit darker than I would expect. The first reverse pic seems to be the truest to my eyes.
Looks MS to me based on those pictures. The one in hand here is NGC 63, mine just has fewer bag marks and a cleaner rim.
