"Sharply contrasting heavily frosted devices." TT description.

Makes my caked on cameos look surreal.

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

They've been using the copy/paste auction description method lately.

I have found that you can no longer trust Teletrades' descriptions anymore - I agree that it is more a "copy - paste" mentality. The really sad thing is that the photos have deteriorated as well.

I bought a coin two weeks ago that had a marvelous description and a photo to match. Unfortunately, once I received the coin, it looked like a different piece. The photo was taken at just the right angle to minimize the ugly toning.

That coin has been returned to TT with a terse letter detailing my displeasure. I know it probably won't get me any consideration, but I sure enjoyed writing it. Now I will be even more selective on which coins I bid on at TT.

Speaking of ugly toning, I just bought three that look like this:

Why would anyone even rely on TT's descriptions? Totally amateurish. Every other Morgan starts with the same crap, " Designed by George T Morgan, this design lasted from 1878 to 1921 image"
