UPDATE: NO NEW RECORD! TOP 5 Most Valuable 20th Century Coins, (exit 1913 Lib/GOLD/1974 Aluminum c
UPDATE:
There is a NEW #6. I originally thought it replaced #5. I just can't add :
#1 1901-S MS68 NGC Barber Quarter (where is it?) worth $500,000 (est).(Superior Sale, $550,000 10+ years ago. Would it sell for that much today???).
#2 1916 SLQ Pattern (Proof?). Probably would sell for $350,000 (est). Last sighting Heritage, last year, Jay Cline wanted $445,000 (reserve) but not sold. No bids came close. I know. I was closest, according to Heritage. Wanted me to buy it anyway. Some say there are MORE 1916 Proofs. Smithsonian has some. Not really sure what this coin is truly worth today.
#3 1922 Matte Proof Peace $1 low relief worth $300,000 (est). (Superior Sale, Jan 1995, realized $242,000).
#4 1918/7-D Buffalo nickel PCGS ms65. Realized $287,500 and sold to dealer so worth more. Collector owns now. $300,000 (est).
#5 1916/1916 DDO PCGS MS64 Buffalo. $281,750. B & M 8/2004. Pittsburgh.
#6 NEW!!!!!!!!!!! 1919-D MS66 PCGS Walking Liberty Half. Realized $270,250 at Heritage Palm Beach, Nov 5th, 2004.
I posted this once as an interest to see what the top 5 were. This is it, until something else happens!!!

Ohhhhh. The word "exit" threw me off.
SO FAR, one has not sold for more, unless privately, and I dont know about it. But I doubt it. 1943-d COPPER, (only one known), went for $212K two years ago...
Is this new math? Since when is $281,750 less than $270,250?
I have seen you do a similar thread a few months ago.Do you think that the next 20th century rarity that is auctioned will dwarf these numbers?
I know a gorgeous 1901 s Barber quarter will be auctioned in Florida in January.I have personally seen it and I graded it ms 67+.
There is rerportedly a 1922 No D strong reverse Lincoln cent in a collection that would grade ms65 red. There is also an 1888/7 Indian cent that would grade ms 65 red.

Bruce, you are so correct. I have WASTED MY and everone else's TIME!!!! I'm a financial planner too, you'd think I could add!!
The top five STAYS THE SAME! No CHANGE!!!!
You'd think I would be happy that #5 wasn't replaced. It's MINE!!!!!!
It's funny how NO ONE ELSE CAUGHT THE ERROR!!!
I'm still gonna call, when I am ready. You ask about coins, when I think they may be YOURS, so I am not going to reply opinion here!!!
