Does anyone else here loathe Boise State?

They play absolutely pathetic teams and barely beat some of them and somehow manage to clog up a top 25 spot. They just beat "Tulsa" 45-42.

duh, thats who most teams to it, USC, OU..they play one good team a year maybe two, and schedule them
all at home so they have a chance every other year! If you are top 10 team you should be playing at
least 2-3 top 10 teams in the year and no La Tech, or Northwestern Michigan.

No JS while USC and OU's schedules may not be as tough as some of the other top ten teams, they do play ranked opponents. I don't believe Boise State even plays anyone close to being ranked! And when I see a top 25 team playing an unranked team I expect them to win a blowout. Twice BSU has been favored by 21 or more points and twice they has to comeback to beat an aweful team.

Are they good - yes I agree. They covered today so I'm not on a PO'ed tirade, but beating freaking Tulsa by 3 and BYU by 1 is the same as losing to a decent team by double digits. They do not deserve to by ranked as high as they are...

Jeez, they're doing an awesome job tonight. I also think all of their ESPN games have helped their ranking. Any coach seeing this display has to vote them higher. DaBeef, did you go there? I'm just curious as you've defended them since I started ripping on them.

edit to add, I never said they sucked. I merely stated that when they play "down" they still win since their schedule is so weak. If a team with a decently tough schedule plays "down" they'll surely get beat. I'll certainly admit that they're playing awesome on their smurf field tonight.

Lived in Boise for 2 years after I got out of the Air Force. Knew guys that went there (Chris Wing) former Jet, now retired from shoulder injuries. Went to games back in 96-97.

That's pathetic. BSU beat down Hawaii on the smurf turf and then plays arguably the worst Division IA team in America, San Jose State. BSU was favored by 33 points and couldn't even beat SJS in regulation. They had to hope that SJS missed a late FG! Absolutely pathetic!

Playing down would be an understatement. If they played that way against a ranked team (I think BSU is the only ranked team to not even play a ranked team!), they'd lose by 28+ points. SJS is that bad.

They did a great job of forcing UL turnovers - something that no one else could do. It’s ironic that possibly their best performance of the year is their only loss.

of the season not to have some team with no business claiming the national title.

I believe that Utah is much better than Boise. Utah played better teams than Boise, and smoked every one of them. But their schedule was still too weak for them to gripe. I think they won't have much trouble with Pitt.

That was certainly a classic - as was Boise's bowl game against UL in 2004.

Despite an undefeated season, we really don't know how good Boise is until after their bowl game. OU was the only ranked team team they've played all year.
