Very attractive 1913 1c PCGS PR65RB

Almost a brown coin. But the luster and color give a pretty red hue when rotated under light. No spots and an overall pretty coin.

$400

PM me,

Jack

Jack, PM sent. But, in case you didn't see it, I'll take the coin, sight-unseen, done deal.

    JTK,

I may not get sniped much on eBay, but I can't ever seem to be in the right place at the right time to buy any of the coins you put up on the BST board. What, do you look to make sure I'm not logged in before you post these bad boys? image

  • Out of curiosity and in no way of upsetting you, What makes a 1913 1c worth so much? I have a 1916 ungraded that is in good shape to me, yet I'm a newbie. Is that also worth a large sum?

    Crap! Too late!

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    remainincognito,

Two things about this 1913 and its price level:

    1. This is a proof coin, not a circulation strike.

    2. There are HUGE price differences in early Lincolns based on what are often small differences in quality in the opinion of many people.

You state that you are "a newbie"...there are large differences in the knowledge and experience of people who state that; so I won't go into more detail here while trying to guess what you may already know or not yet know. Feel free to PM me with more specific questions and I will do my best to answer them.
