Free grading for PSA set registry

Wondering if anyone takes advantage of this benefit. And does it apply to ALL sets (player sets)?

If the set composition is 1-50 cards you are entitled to 1 free grading.
If the set composition is 51-150 cards you are entitled to 2 free gradings.
If the set composition is 151-300 cards you are entitled to 3 free gradings.
If the set composition is 301+ cards you are entitled to 5 free gradings.

  • Oh yes, now I see it. You have to have your set 75% complete.
I believe it would be valid on any set that is set up with the Set Registry. There isn't any fine print.

Does the free submission have to be on a seperate submission, or can it be combined with cards for other services?

Seems to me that it would have to be on a separate submission. They give you a code that gets you the freebie. But I'm just guessing. I've never done this.
Would like to hear if someone has.

  • It does apply to all 75%+ sets and does have to be a separate submission. Read the rules and then write to PSA if you have any questions. Ive done this a few times.

If I remember correctly, this came about after the urging of this board.

Guess I'm not sure why I'm even asking-I'm not close to 75% on any of my sets yet!! image

I have used it a few times. The cards have to be on a separate submission form. I use an Authorized Dealer so I usually wait until I am submiting quite a few cards so I do not have to worry about extra shipping costs.
  • The free submissions are also tied to the set you received them for...i.e., you need to submitt 69's for grading if you got the free submissions based on your 69 set.

  • I could not find the link to benefits on the home page. Can you provide a link on this site to the benefit section?

Click on the Benefits button on the PSA Set Registry home page, located just above the string of sports catagories and just below the name of the PSA Set Registry and the "add to favorites" flag near the the top of the page. It appears as a pop-up on your screen; I don't think you can do a direct link.
