ttt's Are No Longer Allowed on Forums Per one of our Collector's- goldneagle

"goldneagle" (he's got 14 posts to date, so he's surely experienced with the Forum Rules/Procedures) has made a decision regarding the use of ttt's on posts. He states that the use of the ttt's in any post is Rude etc. and wants this practice CEASE Immediately!!! I'm just the messenger (don't kill the messenger), but am guilty of using ttt's-sorry. Any comments/suggestions should be directed "goldneagle". He's not pleased at all with the practice.

Just finding it difficult to locate new posts when they got burried so quickly. There are certainly good reasons to bump a post to the top like, "just a reminder", "this is the last day I'm offering...." and I am sure there are numerous other reasons to bump a post to the top. Just state why. Pulling up a post the has 10 or fifteen ttt's in a row tells me nothing. I did not want to offend anyone. I am new here. Didn't want to overstep my bounds and just wanted to let someone know what was happening. What happens to someone who puts a post up that does not get response very soon? Doesn't it get pushed back much quicker with ttt's. or do you ttt it to get it back up again. sounds like an avalanch to me.

TTTs are a custom here. When you are new you need to become involved and learn how things work before telling people to change the normal custom. FYI, once a day for a thread by the poster is considered a customary norm within the bounds of acceptance.

I agree with you 100%
In addition, board members who don't like the fact that posts drop off the front page frequently need to learn how to use the search feature to find what they're looking for. It's easy . . .

when i gets home tonight i am going to put up the photo of the smiling piglet on this thread

the piglet is not far sale as i only gots the photo

but if you have a craving for him you can go to your local grocery store and buy a package of bacon for yourself no needs to wait for something to be posted on here for sale

and 99% of what is posted on here is not really for sale

it is ebay auction

for sale means you got it for a fixed price listed on here to the first person who pm you and you can complete the transaction
