    Dog97 is good.

He'll tell you that Morgan is not an error. Another point, most errors don't circulate long... look at the wear on the coin.
Give Blood (Red Bags) & Platelets (Yellow Bags)!

itsnotjustme... You would be surprised how many low grade older errors there are! Years ago people carried them in their pockets as lucky pieces!
  • Dog... that is another piece of the puzzle... this coin has been around the block a few times.. I don't know diddly about grades,I give it a VG.

I agree, not worth it, but it sure circulated!!! That was my reason for posting it.

By the way, it's not mine, I am not errorcollect.

If it was more than 30% off center and not cleaned and corroded, it would be a good buy.

OK thanks for refering me to the pictures itsnotjustme. Yeah post mint damage for sure. Looks like somebody used it for a shim or spacer.

Even today errors can circulate!!! I have a 1983-P quarter with a major cud
on each side and dozens of die cracks that is in F/VF.

...The distortion from the cuds is so great that it probably would work in only
some vending machines. This is unusual since people tend to grab anything
that looks the least bit different.

That 1910 Barber looks more like an uncentered broadstrike, not an off centered coin.

CladKing---I would love to see an image of that coin. image

    Bill--Thanks for the reference. image

Regarding the coin ibzman350 posted about....I don't see it. Where is it posted at? Like Dog, I only see red Xs.

I saw reeding on the coin so I figured it was struck in collar.

    Can broadstrikes have reeding?

How are you seeing reeding? There is no picture of the edge that I saw.
  • Coin FinderCoin Finder Posts: 7,106 ✭✭✭✭✭
Yeah I think i am seeing the 1910 D barber dime. Where the shadow begins on the very edge going away from the coin I see ridges evenly spaced, also on the top unless this is digital scat.

I thought that was an artifact of the scan. I don't think that is reeding.....of course, I could be wrong.image
