So what ever happened to the Slab Opener Invention?

Several months back there was a thread about inventing a slab opening device. Any progress in the design & devolopment department?

this is the first time ive did this so i dont know if the pic will show up
The prototype is similar to a slotted vice to hold the slabs
- it works great with slabs that are butt jointed like ANACS, NGC, old PCGS
the newer ICG, NCS slabs are slightly male/female so slightly more difficult
the newer PCGS slabs are male/female and do not 'pop' when squeezed from the side the way I would like
the marketing department says there is not enough market to make much money with a product like this
the legal department says liability issues - on operators and contents - are a concern
the R & D would like to make it metal and sturdy, bumping up the cost considerably
it may not happen for awhile / if ever
make a starting crack in the plastic. Start at the top corners away from the coin. Sometimes it is necessary to crack all 4 corners, then the frount seperates from the back.
WARNING ! NOT REASONSPONDSIBLE FOR DAMAGE!
actually this does to seem to work very well and it keeps the cracks away from the coin.
