The Missing 1965 SMS Kennedy...2nd Highest rated coin from PCGS

Hmmm....
I have one coin left to finish my Kennedy Registry set (which I still need to register)
The coin is a 1965 SMS - it is the second highest rated coin from PCGS from that particular year!
It is missing in action though...
It was ordered awhile back...but has never made it home
The dealer has a impeccable reputation...so I know there is not any funny business going on.
I shall post the detective updates as I get them
hehe...
The coin is a Christmas present!
Josh looking for his missing coin...
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

We'll use our hands and hearts and if we must we'll use our heads.
He is the Kennedy man!

I am waiting on my last coin to register the set. I have to sign up for pCGS first...I believe in order to register it
I will let you know when I get it finished.
I hope your coin shows up.
I think you only need to register with an on-line name (or e-mail address) to regiser your set... No purchase necessary. Don't wait around---post that set!

1965 was a good year. And late December of 1965 was even more special.
December 28th, to be precise. The big Three-Eight is fast arriving for yours truly.

You're ten years off.

Beats that boring row of '64 Kennedies you used to have there!
We now return this hijacked thread to its original topic. Sorry.

For the young age of only 38, your eyes sure are bad. Only two of the eight are 1964.

Oh yeah?
I didn't know that. I thought you had to register or something to get all the information you needs on POPs?
I am in Illinois right now...will return to Toronto next week. I will have my complete set with me there...and will do my best to fill out the registration form
Still have to wait on this one coin though

For access to the pop reports, yes, you have to be a Collector's Club member, or you can purchase it seperately. To register a set, you just need to sign up for the set registry - no cost there.

The coin in questioned was supposed to be an MS 68 coin...that is what PCGS told the company that sold us the coin. However...when the coin arrived it was MS67
The coin is now being sent to my friend...who is disappointed that it was not the MS68 he wanted.
However...I reminded him that it is an AMAZING coin regardless of that one digit difference
I am happy with the MS67...although...of course...as any collector I would love to have it in MS68!
Now I will have to upgrade
Either way my Kennedy collection is complete with mostly MS69 coins...and a few lower grades.
Will have to register it now!
At least the coin is no longer missing!
I'm a little confused. If it were an MS68, that would be the highest rated for that year by PCGS, not the second highest. There are 23 at that grade in brilliant and two in cameo, none finer. There are no DCAMs in MS68, so the highest for DCAM would be MS67, of which there are a total of eight.
Is the coin a brilliant, a cameo, or a deep cameo? If it's a deep cameo in MS67, it's a whopper of a coin even if "technically" it is the "2nd" highest grade. If so, it is the most valuable by a wide margin. MS67 in cameo is still a nice piece with a relatively low pop. MS67 in brilliant would be pretty ho hum.
