    OUTSTANDING prices on those neat coins! Congratulations. Personally, I believe the coins are technically uncirculated. There's a big difference of opinion, however, as to their "net" grade--some say VF and some say XF.

  • Nice coins! I agree about the technical AU; they were struck, put in barrels and sunk at sea before they were ever touched in circulation. It really puts them in a different class from other sunken coins, like those from the Orient for instance that were part of the army's payroll.
