Not that I know of shiro. Patterns are a sector that I do not wish to enter, even if I could afford them. These "E" mintmarks can be skillfully added to circulation coins ...
Sorry to derail your thread. I was just wondering if any other member of the Latin Union (besides France) struck double-denomination coins as patterns.
No fair Shiroh, you deleted the winkie from my quote!
That's what journalists call putting things in perspective.
The patterns of George I are the same as circulation coins ,with the addition of special mintmarks or uniface trials. There is a pattern (Divo P86 20 lepta 1876) that reads ESSAI MONETAIRE with Crowned Greek arms between date (obverse) and ALLIAGE SEBILLOT - PARIS (reverse) that never made it to circulation (not the prettiest of coins imho) .
Cheaper than US, but not always cheap! Of course, if that were an equally rare US pattern, the price would likely be multiples of that, maybe even six figures.

Nice coin, but imagine if it were in a 65 holder!
