Anyone know the story of the "to Hanover" token?

Does anyone know the story of the "To Hanover" token?

I vaguely recall that Queen Victoria couldn't inherit the title of Elector of Hanover and this token marks the occasion, but I don't recall the rest of the story.

The reason I asked is that I saw two of them today, one of them had "1867" below Victoria's bust. Anyone know the story behind that?
