I bought this coin sight unseen as uncirculated and boy was I excited when I got it in the mail today! Something tells me it's worth a little more than $200 I paid for it! Any marks you see are from the die clashing and the luster is excellent even under a 10X loupe I can only find one minor mark on each side and I dought they can be seen in the picture. I thought this would be a good coin to guess the mint mark by the obverse die for the half dime guy's. Thanks mike

Then it must be a O. The only branch mint for that year.
Coinfacts-The Mintmark comes in three different sizes - this time the Small O is the rarest.

Nice-lookin' coin, and cool clashmarks.
If it's an MS coin, then I'd say 63. If AU, then 58 (59 if they used that number!)
This is where the idea that someone posted a month or so ago would be nice- Crossing AU grades in to MS.
If it's got a minor rub, why not AU63? But that was a whole 'nuther topic!
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Forgot to mention- NICE COIN! Half dimes are my favorite!

Nice find, hope this works out for you!
You can not tell whether this coin is MS for sure by the Pic. Look like it has some rub on breasts and cheek./ Knees look pretty good. Will be either Au58 or MS63 from the pic. If you want the Valentine description of the 50-O varieties; I will send them to you.
Can you post a larger obverse picture? Is that a rim ding at the 630 position?
Nice half dime. I never run into deals like that.

elwood, it's just looks slightly off center and the usual type of rim foundd on these coins in mint state.
Draco, I am still working on getting some close up pictures but I got a little problem cutting down a tree right now- it wedged up against another tree and did not fall when I cut it and it's a big one about 60 feet.
I didnt cheat and would have said Ms-63 at PCGS. Sounds about right as NGC gave it a 4.
Nice coin, especially for the "O" mint mark
Holy begeezers, great score.

I looked at the coin anew and said to myself that the coin could go 64. As I scrolled down I saw my prior opinion was a point lower. I am not sure if my standards have changed. I have adapted better to the grading service or my eye is better but for an O mint this is a nice coin.
Congrats again
