Without looking it up, I'd guess the oldest PR70 would be a 1982 GW commemorative 50¢ and the oldest MS70 would probably be a 1983 Olympic $.

    I believe the first PR70 slabbed was a 1986 SOL $5.

Let us not forget the 1963 Lincoln. It says 70 on the label.

........as i stated under your query in the other thread, the earliest PR70 i am aware of is a 1964(i checked my files)Jefferson which sold on 8/18/01 for $201 to an eBay user ID of chris-kalnik. the holder number is/was 7723734. if i remember correctly, the seller was breaking up at least a 1964 PR70 set he had.

Ah, I was think quasi-coins for some reason. Yes, the wonderful 1963 1¢.

    MS-69 is easy -- 1793 Wreath Cent in MS-69BN.

Would have to look harder on proofs, but I know that there are PR-69 Morgans.

Isn't the Wreath cent listed as a SP (specimen) or is that the Chain cent?

I thought the SP coin was that recent piece that Adrian bought and then flipped in January. May be wrong.

Earliest PR-69 I see is an 1879/8 Shield Nickel, which Wondercoin has a pic of here.

The list posted earlier has certainly changed. I know there are many 1971-S Eisenhower dollars that have graded PR70DC.

I've held that Wreath Cent. Whatever the grade, it is one hell of a coin. <3
