09 S VDB

What would this be worth if slabbed by PCGS? It was done by ANACS in 1976 before slabs.imageimage
Thanks, Ken

Any key date is worth it to get it slabbed. If nothing else, it authenticates it. I would think that would be benefical down the road; either for selling it, or having a guarantee that it is genuine.

Definitely get this coin slabbed, and put yourself at ease.image
  • It has already been authenicated by ANACS in 1976 as original. This is when they only had photo certification. I will, however, send it to one of the big 3 for slabbing. Thanks, Ken

I can't tell by the scan for sure but the S MM looks questionable. It just sits on the coin and does not "blend." May just be the scan though. Definately get it autenticated or looked at by a very reputable dealer. Many years ago I got burned( before certification) by one of these coins. It would also help if we could see the VDB clearer.
