I bought 50 fronts and 50 backs of those Kointainers a couple of months back and I turned and twisted those two sides every which way until I got hemorrhoids and I have yet to get one together with a coin in it. The packaging on the ones I bought looked old so they may have shrunked or something. I am aware that Kointainer has improved their product (with rings) so I will try again.

I'm surprised, Leo. I have had many coins of different metals and sizes in Air-Tites for years and, like Shiroh, have never had a problem. Maybe yours were dipped prior to their being put in the 2x2. I really don't know.

I prefer my ladies, BARE NEKKID !!!

I wrap my sweets in jewelers tissue and tightly tuck 'em inside of a cotton pouch and
then into an archival paper 2x2 envelope (i.e. no exposure to any sulfur or lignins)

The harem is kept from the evil world inside an Intercept shield box with dessicant to boot.

When I want to hold and peek at my ladies, I hold 'em "in the flesh"!!!

There's no other way for The Old Scotsman!!

    --------------------------

For slabs, I use a 28 oz. Estwing or bench vise and for air-tites I use my trusty old
skean dhu (that's a sock knife fer you Yanks)!!
