Umm...no shipping information. I bid only with full details, just an experience thing.

  • What do you mean by no shipping info? I thought I stated that in the payment details. Do I need to put is somewhere else?

    Thanks

I see where you bought it about three weeks ago for $51. Here's hoping you reach that amount and then some.

  • I don't expect to get my money back! Just needed something to put up for sale cause I wanted to try the selling thing. If I get $40 and my submission fees I'll be happy!

    Thanks for replying

Never mind, I'm an old eBay fogey - not used to looking there. I like to see the amount I'm paying in the description of the item itself.

    Lets see...

    The good:
Plenty of payment options, including my preference for personal checks
    Perfect, if sparse, feedback
    Great return policy
Shipping and insurance charges clearly spelled out
    Good sized picture
    Low opening bid

    The not so good:
    Shipping seems a bit steep

Overall pretty solid! if I were interested in your item I would bid on your auction, although I would back my bid price off to adjust for the shipping charge.

    Good Luck!

looks like a fair auction to me with reasonable description and shipping charges

    sincerely michael

  • Looks OK to me. If it were something I was looking for I would be willing to throw a bid at it.

Description OK - not too much hype

shipping a bit steep for this item but not out of line

I too like to pay by personal check - I would rather wait a few more days for you to ship than stand in a long line at the post office as well as add to my cost of the item.

$4.95 to ship ONE slab? It would make me think twice about bidding even though I factor the charge into the bid. $2 is a fair shipping charge for this.

$1.20 for insurance? USPS insurance starts at $1.30.

If your going to buy coins on Ebay to resell, set up a second user to buy and another to sell, so that no one can sleuth your purchase prices. Shipping just a tad high for me, but I factor a bit more when buying a slab.

    Everything else looks good.

Too much hype! I find the exclamation point after every sentence offensive! Now my customary high shipping remark!! $7 is too much! You can mail a slab first class insured for $3! You need a view counter!
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    shipping
    1.00 padded envelope
    1.50 postage

what do I know I paid 5.00 shipping for a coin that came in a .10 envelope with a .37 stamp

I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.

Always looking for nice type coins

Actually, for $1.90, you can mail a slab first class and insured for $50.00 in value.

Also, the auction looks good to me, too. You spelled everything out in plain English. Should be no confusion.

Good luck as a seller. It can be lots of fun. image

I think there is too much hype also but I still bid. As far as the shipping charges go- I don't care how much is charged as long as it is stated in the auction so I know what my final cost will be when I bid. mike image

i hate it, but my reasons are not rational, ie. its because i bitterly despise this particular "slabed coin".
