Congratulations! It must be very satisfying to have completed that set. Excellent work.
Since we don't see enough posts like this, I have a couple questions:
What got you interested in Liberty nickels? How long did it take to finish the set? Where did you get them?

Very nice, congratulations. Will you be posting a picture of the various coins for us anytime soon? If it's in a Capital Plastics display I would bet that they look quite good together.
I'm trying to do a VF or better set, with the possible exception of the 85, 86, and 12-S...those little buggers are HARD to find in mid grade condition....
Tom-a dansco album and it looks pretty handsome! No scanner yet! next for me: finish up my 18th century type(capital)-need a nice large size bust quarter(F-15)(very hard to find no-problem), a bust half dime(F-15)uncleaned 1829, 30,31,32,33,34, and an upgrade seated dollar. I have a nice natural g6 but I'd truly like an F12. I also need a .5c 1853,54,55.
Kranky- I started as a kid but only seriously wanted to complete in the last three years. I had a handful from my grandfather's collection he found in pocket change, then a got some from several local dealers. My local dealer got me the 12-s at a coin show and the 85,86 from ebay. These last two had full return policies if I didn't like them. My local dealer gave me the thumbs up upon inspection! They were very hard to find. I checked twice a week for two years until I found these recently. Eugene
I have a complete set of Jeffersons too. When I asked my dealer whether it made sense to collect the buffaloes next since they're in between, he seriously pointed me away from the series. He said the grading has gone crazy and I wouldn't like them in the lower grade vg with the often weak date/rim. Is he right?
My personal opinion on the Buffs is that you need F or better to have a reasonable looking set - the date and 'LIBERTY' are usually the first things to go and the coins really don't look good at the G/VG level (to me at least!).
Cecil Total Copper Nutcase - African, British Ships, Channel Islands!!! 'Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup'
You earn an extra tip o' the hat for checking ebay twice a week for two years to get those last two nickels.
I'm sincerely impressed at the amount of diligence you showed in chasing down the remaining coins. I'd love to see more posts like this one.

who'd have thought it would've taken that long. All I was looking for was an uncleaned, full rim, no hit, minimum scratched, unbent g'vg w/o porosity or corrosion!
Congrats on finishing the set, I would say go for the buffs if you want to remember collect what you like not what your dealer thinks you should collect, If i collected what my dealer wanted me to collect i would have a date/MM set of $20 saints.
it's the 13s that'll freak me out. I'm not going to go for the overdates, just mintmark. I think the whitman/harris folders do not have a slot for the 3leggeds. So is the 13s the most?
If you're collecting in F, the 13-S T2 will be toughest, at about $200. Other keys include 13-D T2 ($50), 14-D ($70), 15-S ($50), 21-S ($80), 24-S ($50). If you move up to VF, it becomes a lot more pricey (of particular note, the 21-S jumps to $350, the 24-S jumps to $400, and the 26-S jumps to about $350).

I'll bet it was exciting finding and buying that last piece. Good luck in choosing your next series to collect!
