Several of the coins I bought have some type of code on the back. If this is a trade secret I will not expect a response.

It say DCCYTMLR: Can someone tell me what the letters stand for?

If this some type of grading scheme or the price the dealer paid for it.

Depends on the dealer from that I have heard. It is usually a code that can tell them price paid, date bought and other information.

likely a pricing code based on a nine or ten letter word. commonly used among coin dealers

I don't know what it means i have a coin i bought with a code kinda like yours it says T5271 they had the coin priced at $35 sold it to me for $31. It might mean he bought the coin on 5-1 and paid $27?

I don't care what it means - I think it's a nasty habit marking codes on the backs of coins.
