I was getting slabs like that from ANACS a few years ago, But the number I would guess 3 or 4 years...
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Don't know if they're strictly sequential, but I got two 862xxx numbers on a submission in early 1996.
Successful BST transactions: EagleEye, Christos, Proofmorgan,
Coinlearner, Ahrensdad, Nolawyer, RG, coinlieutenant, Yorkshireman, lordmarcovan, Soldi, masscrew, JimTyler, Relaxn, jclovescoins

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't no optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.

My mind reader refuses to charge me....
  • Don't know when it was slabbed but thats a shame what happened to that coin. Still it looks great.
  • Maybe this is a dumb question, but couldn't ANACS look up their number and give an exact date?

They probably could, but would be reluctant to (just like PCGS won't divulge that information.)

  • Sorry, I'm three days behind on reading the forum. That slab is either an ANACS 13 (1992-1995) or an ANACS 14 (1995 - April 2000) What color is is ANACS logo on the back hologram? ANACS 13 used a red hologram while ANACS 14 uses a slightly larger silver-gray or greenish hologram logo.
