I see the most beautiful bald eagle on the way home from work this morning

I was headed north on Maine 95 today when I see this beautiful eagle fly down from some evergreen trees and snape up a roadkill rabbit. His head and tail feathers were as white as the snow, and his back and wings were a lovely blueish black. he landed about 20 feet off the road in some pines so I stopped to watch him but a cop pulled over behind me and said I can't park there.I pointed out the eagle and said I'ld pay the fine to watch him a few more minites. him and I watched him for a while and he didn't ticket me.

They are beautiful birds! I had the pleasure a year and a half ago to get a call about an injured bird
on an island near me. Upon arriving I realized that the bird was an immature bald eagle about a year to year and a half old. No white head yet but had some white showing in the tail feathers. This eagle had
tried to pick up and eat a 14 inch fishing lure off the lake and when it did each wing was caught in a treble
hook and you know the rest of the story........
To make a long story short I'll just say these birds are HUGE and very POWERFUL! The adreline was pumping, to say the least, when I put a blanket over him and caught by hand and put in a box for transport to our local zoo! Two weeks later, the zoo calls ME and allows me to come pick it up and release it back into the wild!
Hey.....I'm on the Law Enforcement side of things.....don't get to do COOL things like this too often!

its because I done eat snakes, small rodents and little furry creatures.
The bald eagle is rather a majestic sight and I always believed it would lead to
good fortune, for someone to see our national emblem in flight.
