  • That is one beautiful coin. But then again all of the coins that you ever on the forum are beautiful coins. Keep the images coming.image
  • Coin addict....that is one interesting icon.

Ok...What would be a fair price for me to ask for this coin:

  • How about $5K for the 1869 PF67??
  • You can sell it to me for anything below $100.imageJ/K
I think you should start it at $6,000.

Adrian it is just not humanly possible for the most beautiful coins to consistently find you. Another beauty!

  • Now I don't have the grey sheet in front of me, but the PCGS price put on that coin in MS60 is 625 or 650, I forget which. I realize they probably haven't updated that in quite sometime, but is somebody trying to tell me that the toning is worth 5400? To me, that is nuts, but I am sure there are those that will love it that much. It is very nice, I grant you that.

edited to add: Never mind, didn't see the second pic.

look closely and you'll see that Adrian has pulled the old "bait and switch" here. First he shows an almost uncirculated circulation strike with "cool toning." We all agree it's "very nice."

Then he shows the ungodly proof 67 with savage/monster toning and high falutin pedigree and asks for a price for that one, not the au coin.

Lawyers... you gotta watch em every minit of the day.

    hahahaha, just kidding.

how does 5k for the pair sound?

    hahahaha, just kidding again.

oh well, thanks for the double drool Adrian.

  • Well, i listed the proof 67 coin last night and reserved it at 5300 which was really low, in my opinion, and it met reserve already. I'm
hoping a little competition will result but what will probably happen is everyone will wait until the last minute to bid, i'll have ended
up violating my fiduciary duty to my family, and everyone except the winner will be irritated. I think auctions should be extended 5
minutes when someone bids in the last 5 minutes.

Last night I also listed the AU 55 half starting at one cent and ending in 10 days.

I'll probably get slammed for hawking my wares in the wrong forum but at least aswimmer will be glad someone else is getting the heat.

Last comment -- i am so jealous. You guys up there in the northeast getting such a very cool snow storm. I'm gonna take the day off and
put the weather channel on and make believe i'm still living up there in Colts Neck, New Jersey (where i was raised - 6 miles away from
    Laura and George), snowed in.

I'd hate to see your family suffer, especially since my wife spent her first 22 years in NJ so I threw a bid on the 69-S. It will be interesting to see where the price ends up.image

Yes it is a Frank Zappa song. We used to listen to it in High School all the time back in the 70s.

  • Thanks, Mike, for the bid.

So, Frank Zappa. What's the title of the album that the song appears on?

    It is off of "Apostrophe(')"
