WOW! those are beautiful surfaces on that coin! I can't say that the toning thrills me, but I bet that thing just spews luster!!!!! Congratulations! I'll be interested to see what you have to say about it when you get it!
The obverse on that coin is chissled! It almost looks like Anna is going to come to life! And after seeing how crappy a lot of Morgan's are - that's a beaut!!!
I have another 67 and this one pretty much looks the same. my other one may have a little nicer cheek. Once I get the new one and scan it then you guys will be able to compare apples to apples picture wise. see below
It's a pretty coin, and please don't feel I'm knocking the coin. I'm just a grumpy old time tech grader as Dog97 calls me.
I just don't like imo when they get bumps for color. Here is why, same old thing. They give it a bump for color at the grading service, the seller takes that grade then gives his own bump for color. So we end up paying premiums twice. Then 10x sheet. Sorry didn't mean to ruin you sharing your coin.
Congrats and enjoy.

<< <i>I love those S coins, even if mintages are high, the quality of some of those coins is breathtaking! >>
That`s one of the perks of collecting Morgans as I`m sure you and alot of people already know about. It`s a good balance of age ( pre-1900 ), high grade, and cost.
<< <i>They give it a bump for color at the grading service >>
I see your point. The face is a 67 but, in the fields , there`s ticks in front and back that drag it to a 65. Don`t get me wrong jbsteven it`s really nice and I would be proud to have a coin like that in my collection. All-in-all I think it`s fair to say that we all like it and it`s a good catch.
I will post a detailed scan when it arrives. I agree that I cannopt make a judgement until it arrives. If I don't like it I will dump it at Long beach and get a nice 67 while I am there.
JB, I watched that one with interest myself, and I think that you will like it much better when you see it in person. Congrats and please let us know when you get it!
In an insane society, a sane person will appear to be insane.
You beat me out on that coin. I did get this one NGC MS67 1885-O. This one is from Pinniacle on ebay.
Banned for Life from The Evil Empire™! Looking for Nationals, Large VF to AU type, 1928 Gold, and WWII Emergency notes. Also a few nice Buffalo Nickels and Morgan Dollars. Monty...
