Report on today's show in Nashua, NH

Got there a little before 10:00, that's usually the beginning of "prime time". Crowd was about the usual; if I absolutely judge it relatively, I'd say a little below the usual for the past year (I've made all but one show, I think). My only interest is gold & I checked out every table.
Overall, with one exception, the amount of gold, especially slabbed, was pretty low - about the same as the last couple shows or a litle less. I stopped and listened for awhile at 3 or 4 tables, in each case when a customer asked a price it came back well over greysheet, and in each case the customer declined. Certainly indicative of nothing given the very small sample, but I found it interesting. Most of the gold was MS61-62, a fair number of 63s, very few in higher grades. Most of the 63s I saw were Saints.
There were (2) ACG slabs, a dozen or so PCIs, and not a single NTC. This out of maybe 200 total slabs (just a wild guess). One dealer, who usually has 75% of his two big cases in gold had about the same amount as usual. Prices on nice ones were well up there, 20%-25% over greysheet on all I asked about or heard others ask about. All things considered, given the "hot" current market, it seemed to me that money was changing hands less actively than six months ago.

Ms/63+ gold is in demand. The other gold stuff...........is still just "stuff", for the most part.
I met a few more board members. Tonelover and I finally meet in person. It was a pleasure chatting with him. I met with Toneddollars again, and also Ebay seller Greattoning. It is always nice, as Toneddollars previously mentioned, to put a face to the names.
ms71 we'll have to try and hook up at the next one.
I picked up a few nice coins. Nothing "monster", but some attractive pieces. Dealers seem to be looking for certain coins, with eye appeal, and that's about it. No one seems to be looking for plain-jane inventory stuff.
It was a good show.
