Dan and I hit the Issaquah-Eastside show today. As usual, same dealers, mostly the same material we see at every show in this area. Nothing in my normal collecting sphere to buy, but I did pick up three pretty coins, so at least I didn't leave empty handed.

just curious Russ, how much, if any, premium did you pay for the colors, over what "ordinary" colored coins would cost in the same grades?

Wow, I particularly like the purple Cent. What did you do, soak it over night in

Welshes Grape Juice. I generally dont like copper, but I surely Love that "PURPLE PENNY".

In order for me to know what "premium" I paid, I'd have to actually know what un-toned coins would sell for. I don't. I don't have any pricing information for stuff I don't normally collect. If I see something I like that I can afford, I buy it. These were all small dollar purchases.

Neat coins Russ. I really dig the Lincoln. I was there today as well. Same dealers/inventory - it gets kind of old. I've seen the day coins at 10 straight shows. Yawn.....

I almost picked up a nice orgirinal VF 1914-S Barber half, but I felt it was overpriced, so I passed.

Yeah, I told the dealer with the Lincoln that I thought he was asking too much for it. He comes back with "why do you think it's too much". I came back with "because I'd like to get it for less". We had a good chuckle, and he knocked $10 off the price.

That cent is WAY more awesome in person though. The camera (even as good as Russ is with it) doesn't (quite) do it the justice it deserves. It's almost eggplant purple.

The Lincoln and Morgan are very nice, but I like the Jeff, and would have purchased it too.

That Jefferson is fantastic. Nice buy. I like the Lincoln ; but, the mickle is really more eye appealing

to me.
