Does the grade depend on the mood of the graders as much as the quality of the coin ?

I got my coin back from p.c.g.s. today after trying the guarantee process. The coin is very pretty, but i still think i'm right about the technical issue i raised. I've seen coins with tremendous eye appeal that were rideing the fence technically that did not go the next point higher also, which leaves my wundering if the grade can partly depend on what kind of a day the individual graders are having.
The President claims he didn't lie about taxes for those earning less then $250,000 a year with public mandated health insurance yet his own justice department has said they will use the right of the government to tax when the states appeals go to court.

    absolutely!
  • I studied in the Industrial Engineering field as part of my MS studies. The empirical data shows that time of day, conditions of the day, conditions of the worker have a DEFINITE bearing on the quality of the end product. The data demonstates that given an 8 hour work day, from 8AM to 10AM are the best times the worker will perform, the performance degenerates sharply from 10AM to 12 noon. After the lunch break, perfomance increases sharply from 1-3PM, but not to the initial top. Again, the performance, drops to the low of the day dramatically from 3PM to 5PM, with the worst performance, just before 5PM. This data is from many, many empirical studies of human nature and is generally consistant across the board. So, when grading coins, the best time for a accurate grade is from 8AM to 10 PM, the worst is from 3PM to 4:30PM. Now add on the problems from home, illness, or general fatigue factors, and the curves drops even further. So ask PCGS to grade you coins from 8-10AM on Tuesday, Wednes, or Thursday.
