How much does reeding condition matter?

Just wondering if anybody has submitted coins with verdigris on the edges, and how it affects the overall grade. I found a roll of Morgans that my brother (may he rest in eternal peace) stored in a craftsman toolbox...the edges are mostly mottled green/blue but the obverse and reverse of some look absolutely stunning (when you consider what the roll looked like from the side). Some might grade out as DMPL or at least PL. Any comments or experience with this?
Don't you know that it's worth

And as rich as you are,
it's much better by far,
