Just look at the pic in this auction. Full head, huh? I've seen some undisputable full head Standing Liberties that PCGS refused to give "FH" designation to, but they give it to a coin that's physically missing 1/3 of the head. Unbelievable.

I guess they figure that the 2/3 of the head that IS there is a full strike?!?

Well, I am no SLQ expert, but I believe the definition of FH has something to do with a full ear hole. Since the ear is all there, could it be that this coin meets the official full head definition, even if it's not all there????

Either way, that is one SWEET error.

According to PCGS Standards:

1. Three leaves in hair must be clear and distinct.
2. Earhole must be present.
3. Hairline must be distinct from top of forehead to back of neck.

In this case the forehead is missing as well as the topmost leaf & most of the 2nd leaf.
